The food and drink industry actively supports and often leads efforts to usher in a healthier world by stepping up its efforts in the field of product development, labelling, greater product choice and packaging size.
Education is a key element, however, in supporting the guidance consumers are now given by industry on pack to make choices in line with their dietary needs and, again, food and drink manufacturers have stepped up to the plate to help enable people to make informed choices, regardless of their age or circumstance.
FoodDrinkEurope believes that a healthy lifestyle could and should be adopted from an early age. Our members are actively encouraging consumers to start healthy (consuming breakfast on a daily basis), getting active (engaging in regular exercise) and staying healthy (providing their own employees with nutrition and lifestyle education). These efforts go far in ensuring that families have the best possible opportunities in developing and maintaining healthy lifestyles.
